What a Faraday Key Fob Protector Does
A Faraday key fob protector is a small pouch lined with signal-blocking fabric. Close your car key inside and its radio signal can't be picked up or passed along. That matters because most keyless car thefts are relay attacks: one device near your key, one near your car, and the car is tricked into thinking the key is right there.
Test it at your car in 10 seconds
- Put the key fob in the protector and close the flap fully.
- Stand next to your car and try to open the door or start it.
- Nothing should happen. Take the key out and it works again.
