Leather Faraday Bag Key Fob - 2 Pack

$29.99

A leather-finish Faraday box for car keys, in a small and a big size. Close the lid on your key fobs and the shielding lining blocks the keyless-entry signal, so it can't be picked up and relayed to your car from outside the house. It's for keyless-entry car owners who want one fixed place by the door to drop keys and cards.

Why a Box Rather Than a Pouch

A box sits on a hall table and takes a second to use: lift the lid, drop the keys, close it. There's no flap to fold or seam to line up. The wooden inner frame and foam lining hold the shape, and the shielding fabric sits behind the lining so keys don't rub on it, which reduces wear.

Sizing

Size Dimensions Holds
Small 9 × 6.2 × 11 cm (3.5 × 2.4 × 4.3 in) A fob or two, or a spare key set
Big 17 × 12.3 × 9.5 cm (6.7 × 4.8 × 3.7 in) Several fobs and cards; possibly a phone, so check its length

Details

  • Exterior: leather finish
  • Interior: wooden frame, foam lining, double-layer shielding fabric
  • Closure: lid with lock
  • Blocks while closed: key fob, RFID/NFC card and phone signals

Test It in 30 Seconds

Put your fob inside, close the lid, carry the box to the car, stand about a meter (3 ft) away and try the handle. No response means the box is doing its job. Then take the fob out and try again to confirm the car normally responds at that distance. Test each fob you own.

Honest Notes

  • Shielding works only with the lid fully closed. A key ring or lanyard caught in the lid breaks the seal.
  • This addresses relay attacks specifically. It doesn't stop OBD-port attacks or physical break-ins.
  • Cars with UWB (ultra-wideband) keyless entry measure the fob's distance and may not need a box at all. Check whether your car uses UWB first.
