Faraday Cage for Router – Silver-Fiber Wi-Fi Cover
RFID Blocking Card – 2 Pack | Dual Wallet Protection
Leather Faraday Bag Key Fob - 2 Pack
A breathable silver-fiber cover that slips over a Wi-Fi router to lower the RF signal level around it. Covering the router reduces how much Wi-Fi signal leaves it in the covered directions, so the network keeps working but its range shrinks. It's for people who want less RF near the router and accept weaker coverage farther away.
What It's For
It's a trade-off: the signal near the router drops, and so does the signal reaching distant rooms. Devices close by usually keep a usable connection; a laptop two rooms away may lose it. If that happens, move the router closer to where you use Wi-Fi, or leave one side uncovered.
Details
- Material: breathable silver-fiber shielding fabric that lets router heat escape
- Sizes listed: 9.8 × 15.7 in (25 × 40 cm) and 13.8 × 15.7 in (35 × 40 cm); measure your router, antennas included
- Setup: no tools. Slip it over the router, covering the antennas for the strongest effect.
- Returns: 14-day return window; see our refund policy
How to Check It Works
Take a reading with an RF meter at a fixed spot near the router, fit the cover, and measure again from the same spot. Then check Wi-Fi speed in the rooms you use most. We don't quote a reduction figure, because it depends on the router, the fit, distance and walls. How to measure at home.
Honest Notes
- It reduces signal in the covered directions; it doesn't eliminate it.
- Weaker range is the expected result, not a fault.
- Keep the router's vents clear and don't stack things on top of the cover.
